About

Jae Kirkland Rice is a postulant in the Episcopal Diocese of Rhode Island and a Ph.D Candidate in the Department of Comparative Literature at Yale University. He is a Black, queer, trans man, native South Carolinian, home cook, dog dad, avid gamer, ocean lover, and constant seeker of the Divine. You can reach him at jkirklandrice@gmail.com or find him on Twitter (using the handle @jaekirklandrice). Most of the sermons and homilies are independently titled. Musings that aren’t quite homilies fall under the heading “Church in the Wild”, a collection of thoughts inspired more by everyday experiences than a specific sacred text.

Art for this site’s header is taken from Rohan Allan Crite’s brush meditation “Yahweh”, which is part of his larger series, All Glory.
